Vivendi Seve Trophy
The Vivendi Seve Trophy is a biennial golf competition between two men’s teams, one representing the UK and Ireland, the other the rest of Europe. Created as a tribute to Severiano Ballesteros, one of Europe’s greatest golfers, it takes place in odd-numbered years. Ballesteros, famous for his Ryder Cup successes, left a lasting imprint on European golf.
In many ways, the French event has become a milestone on the road to the Ryder Cup. It’s at Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche that the forces at work are tested, strategies put in place and doubles pairs put to the test, firstly to win the Vivendi Trophy, but also to position themselves in the future European Ryder Cup team.

Vivendi Cup
The Vivendi Cup is an international golf competition on the European Tour calendar, played every two years in alternation with the Vivendi Trophy. The first edition will take place from September 23 to 26 at the Joyenval golf course, near Chambourcy. Unlike the Vivendi Trophy, which pits teams of British, Irish and European golfers against each other, the Vivendi Cup adopts a “pro-am” format, with professionals and amateurs playing together for the first 36 holes. The top 65 professionals after the “Cut” will then compete for a prize money of €1,225,000.
The event is inspired by the formats of prestigious tournaments such as the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, and aims to offer an alternative in even-numbered years, with a different setting to diversify golfing events in France.
